I stumbled upon this band and this video, in particular, when checking them out through the submissions I get for Radio Nope. They have a new album coming out on the 26th of this month, called “In Two”. I haven’t heard that album yet, but will right after I post this. Please listen. I think you’ll like it!Read More
This is a rock opera about a lumberjack's struggle to find stable employment as automation and the profit motive take precedence over human dignity. It is also about robots finding meaning in their own existence when they are not programmed to appreciate the goods and services they provide.Read More
Mercury Rev have announced the release of 'Bobbie Gentry’s The Delta Sweete Revisited,' available 8th February 2019 via Partisan Records / Bella Union.
Gentry's stories and original resolve are brought to new vocal life and empowerment by a vocal cast of women from across modern rock and its alternative paths: among them, Mazzy Star's Hope Sandoval; Laetitia Sadier, formerly of Stereolab; Marissa Nadler; Margo Price, the fiery new country star with a punk-rock heart; and Norway's Susanne Sundfør, who cuts through "Tobacco Road" with arctic-Nico poise. Phoebe Bridgers, whose first record was a softly stunning 2015 single for Ryan Adams' PAX AM label, hovers through the acid- western suspense of Gentry's "Jessye' Lisabeth" with floating calm, like a comforting angel.

The God Eaters! The pride of Marquette, Michigan, hidden away in the upper peninsula. A powerful nervy band that aggressively follows their own compass and puts forth a righteous and uncompromising noise. Drummer Nick has filled in for neutronfriends many, many times, and guitar player Dylan has filled in on guitar as well.
Fiendishly creative and productive, they are band that I hope has a long and storied career.
Armies of the Mind is a song that's basically two choruses. It gets in, does it's thing, gets out. That's the idea.
